This is it. The one that starts everything.

The Mastercard is Number 1 of the 100 Card Collector Series — a body of work that will unfold across 100 original double-sided paintings. Each card carries two complete works: two moods, two worlds, one object.

No.1 is the only card in the series executed on 3mm white/black composite aluminium — permanent, rigid, indestructible. Cards 2 through 100 will be on canvas. This one is categorically different from everything that follows.

Front — Red Totem

A monumental gestural figure built from raw red brushwork against pure black. Primal and confrontational, with flashes of violet and gold breaking through the surface. The teal border seethes with calligraphic marks — the artist’s visual language contained within a ritual frame.

Back — Albs Inn Nocturne

A swirling nocturnal cityscape in conversation with Van Gogh’s Starry Night — but reimagined through a deeply personal South Australian lens. The Albs Inn glows at street level while luminous orbs spiral above the rooftops. Thick impasto. Figures moving through gold and blue. A painting full of warmth and movement.
